Issue description
With Rainbow release v149, for some users the Rainbow app starts with Softphone user interface. Issue occurs with Rainbow web application (Browser) and Rainbow Desktop application.
Why it happened
With v149 we introduced new profile parameters and in some cases it occurs that the Profile options are not well retrieved at login and the Softphone mode UI is used for the user instead of the Collaboration UI.
How to fix the issue
The company admin can check on the user what profile is used and may have to select the good one because the one that should be used is not well recognized (e.g. name of the profile is not displayed).
Two ways to do it, either on a user per user basis or through Mass provisioning.
In case you have a custom profile, verify first that all options are as you have defined them and if the Softphone mode should not be used by the users set it to Not Allowed
Now go to each user Permissions settings and select the right profile.
- if you have a custom profile, select it and apply.
- if it was same as company, select again same as company and apply.
- or select any other predefined profile you want the user to have.
Or use mass provision to set the right profile to all users.
Under members management select the export button to retrieve the user list.
Edit the file Rainbow_companyname_users_date.csv
- column action = update
- column selectedAppCustomisationTemplateName = enter the profile you want to have for the users
Below I will apply Same as company for some users and My own custom profile for others
Finally import this file to update the users permissions
