Feature description
The purpose of this feature is to immediately overflow PBX calls to an external number when Rainbow cloud is not reachable for any reason like, connectivity issue or WebRTC gateway is down.
Requirements
- The number to fallback must be an external number.
- Run minimum OXE version R100.1 MD6 and WebRTC Gateway version 2.3.7.
- No special configuration is needed on OXE, but the REX must be multiline.
- On the WebRTC Gateway the parameter RINGINGAUTO must be set to false.
Note: On Rainbow side, it is not possible to know that the number is an internal or external phone number. Therefore an internal number can be configured but it will NOT work.
Configuration
Administrator
The administrator can configure it for each user.
In the user settings, Telephony tab, select the type of forward "Other number" and enter a valid external number.
User
The user can configure the OXE fallback number in his Settings / Telephony section.
He selects "Other number" and can then choose either:
- search by name in the directory or enter directly a phone number
- take a number from his speed dials configuration
- or a contact he added to his favorites
