Web application : 2.177.4
Desktop application Windows : 2.174.1
Desktop application macOS : 2.174.1
Android application : 1.177.0
iOS application : 1.177.3 build 260821.1825
Telephony
-
See who a caller works for before answering
An incoming PBX call can show the caller's company, their department and one tag alongside their name, in the call pop-up and in the softphone. Each of the three is a separate on/off choice under "Caller details" in the Calls settings, so you pick what appears, and the extra information is set apart from the name in brackets or behind an icon. Available on Web, Desktop and Android for both Hub and Hybrid telephony, supervised calls included. -
See at a glance that a conditional forward is active (Hybrid Telephony)
A dedicated icon marks an active conditional forward in a hybrid telephony context, and hovering it spells the rule out in full: "forward on busy to John Doe", "forward on no reply to 123456", "forward on busy to voicemail". Screen readers read the same wording aloud. -
A distinct ring tone for hunt groups (Cloud Telephony)
A company admin can upload a custom ring tone for a hunt group from that group's “Voice prompts” tab, so a member hears which group a call arrives through without looking at their screen. The Web and Desktop softphones use it for calls through that group, call waiting included, taking precedence over the member's own ring tone. Available on Rainbow Hub; iOS is excluded.
Bubble - Conference
-
Stop disrupting your VIPs when a conference starts
When a bubble conference starts, every member gets an audio ring — including senior executives and decision-makers. You can now designate specific users who will receive a silent visual notification instead, keeping them informed without interrupting their day. -
Control what new bubble members can see (Web/Desktop client only, mobile apps planned v178)
When adding someone to a bubble — or sharing it via a public link — you can now choose to hide all past content from new joiners. They arrive with a blank slate and only see content shared from the moment they joined. Useful when adding external partners, temporary collaborators, or anyone who should not have access to prior conversations. -
Check your camera before going live
Before activating your video in a bubble conference, a preview screen lets you check your camera feed and adjust your background. No more surprises — you decide when you are ready to be seen.
Task management
-
Never miss a task deadline again
Add a due date to any task, personal or from a chat message, and set a reminder so you're notified before it's due. Overdue, due today, or upcoming: a clear status is shown right in your task list. Manage everything from the notification center: view, complete, or dismiss.
UI/UX improvement
-
Shared images and videos keep their real shape
Images, videos and Giphy GIFs sent in a conversation carry their real dimensions with them, so they display in their true aspect ratio on Android, iOS and Web. Where the size is known up front, the ratio is worked out before rendering, so the conversation does not jump while you scroll. -
Clear mention notifications in one action
The notification centre offers "Delete all" and "Delete read" for mentions, so a batch of @-mentions goes in a single action; on mobile both sit in the More menu of the mentions-only view. Each asks for confirmation, states exactly what it will remove, and updates the list and the badge count immediately. The messages themselves, the chat history and the mention markers inside the chat are untouched. -
A single chronological notification list on mobile
The notification centre on iOS and Android shows every notification in one flat list, newest first, whatever its kind. Webinar and bubble invitations, contact and channel invitations, mentions, waiting-room arrivals, bubble access requests and task reminders each name themselves in the entry text, so they stay easy to tell apart, and the filter icon in the header narrows the list to a single kind. -
Answer a poll straight from your notifications
An open poll in one of your bubbles reaches the notification centre — "We look forward to your participation for the poll X in bubble Y" — with a Vote action that opens it for an immediate answer. Once you have voted, or once the poll ends, the entry becomes a "See results" notification. Anything left is cleared automatically after 30 days, or you can delete it yourself.
Serveceability
-
Test your push notifications from the app (Android only)
A "Check push notifications" entry in the Help & Support menu runs a 30-minute Wi-Fi test that sends periodic push notifications and reports how many were received or missed. The app also flags device settings that block delivery (permissions, DND, battery saver, background restrictions) with a shortcut to fix them, to speed up support troubleshooting.
Administration
-
Protect your users from malicious links in chat
Admins can now disable clickable hyperlinks in IMs and channels. When activated, URLs are displayed as plain text, preventing users from accidentally clicking on potentially harmful links.
Early Adopter Features available with this Beta version
These features are available only in the beta version of the front-end client; therefore, you must also have a beta license in addition to the license for the EA feature.
Rainbow Premium
Run large moderated meetings with up to 200+ participants (Only for Early Adopter RB Premium)
Need to host a plenary session, executive town hall or expert panel? Moderated Conference Mode gives organizers greater control over large meetings. Organizers remain at the center of the discussion while attendees join in audience mode and can be invited to speak when appropriate. Available for Premium and Voice Premium bubbles as part of the enhanced conference experience.
AI Features
Retry a transcription that failed (Only for Early Adopter RB Premium & Bring your Own AI)
A recording whose transcription failed offers a "Retry" action that restarts the whole generation and moves the recap back to "In Progress". It appears only for failure reasons a retry can actually fix — an unsupported language or a file that is too short do not qualify — and allows three attempts before it stops being offered.
See how much of your AI quota is left (Only for Early Adopter RB Premium)
A dedicated AI Consumption tab in Rainbow Analytics shows an admin the current month's consumption against the company's quota, what remains, a 12-month trend and a per-user breakdown. Enough to see who is driving consumption and act before a threshold is reached.
AI transcriptions say that they are AI (Only for Early Adopter RB Premium - Web/Desktop client only, mobile apps planned v178)
Message and voicemail transcriptions carry an explicit AI disclosure: a tooltip on the transcription action on Web and Desktop, so you know before you start it, and a "Generated by AI" label inside the result itself, styled like the existing summary label. Both apply to instant message and voicemail transcriptions alike.
Smart Agent (Virtual Receptionist)
Import, export and clone voice agents (Only for Early Adopter SMART AGENT)
A voice agent's transfer destinations and knowledge base entries can be imported from a CSV file in the Agent Builder and exported in the same format for offline editing. An import replaces the existing list and reports row by row what loaded. A Clone action creates a draft copy of an agent, leaving the original untouched.
One knowledge base shared by every voice agent (Only for Early Adopter SMART AGENT)
A single company-level knowledge base holds the question-and-answer entries shared by all of a company's virtual agents, managed entry by entry in the smart routing tab or in bulk through the same CSV import and export as a per-agent knowledge base. Each agent carries an "Apply company knowledge base" toggle, on by default, and its own entries take precedence over a company entry answering the same question.
