New features for January. 2026:

Express feedback with a single emoji:

You can now react to messages with emojis. Quickly convey your response, acknowledge a point, or show support without writing a reply. A single emoji communicates your sentiment clearly, allowing your team to understand feedback instantly and keeping discussions efficient and engaging.

Make your messages pop with bold, italic, and list:

It’s now easier to have a well-structured text that helps your team grasp information faster and keeps conversations organized, making collaboration more effective. Format messages with bold, italic, strikethrough, bullet points, and numbered lists. Highlight key points, organize your ideas clearly, and make your messages stand out.

Faster setup for folders and discussions:

We’ve redesigned the folder and conversation (bubble) creation and editing experience to make organizing your work and starting discussions faster and more intuitive. Creating new folders or launching a conversation is now simpler and more efficient, so you can focus on getting things done and collaborating effectively

The Dialpad has been redesigned to improve user experience. The new version offers better handling of device orientation. These improvements make callings quicker and more intuitive every day.

Receive push notifications with images, making shared content easier to spot and understand at a glance! When a colleague shares a photo, the image appears directly in the notification, providing immediate context, keeping you up to date, and helping you respond faster. This update makes collaboration more efficient and helps you stay on top of important visual updates in your chats and projects.

New personal contact creation perfected for iOS:

We’ve improved how you create personal contacts. The process is now fully aligned with the latest iOS standards, which ensures faster, safer, and more consistent experience across your Apple devices. Add and manage your contacts directly while staying compliant and up to date with Apple’s latest requirements.

Automatic microphone activation onstage:

Microphones are now automatically turned on when speakers join the stage, ensuring you’re ready to present immediately. The onstage invitation popup clearly indicates that the microphone will be activated, and once onstage, an ephemeral toast confirms this status. This makes starting presentations effortless and keeps the focus on your content.

See the full journey of every call:

Calls that go through a queue are now tracked from start to finish, so you always know what happened from the moment a customer calls until an agent answers. This means your call logs and reports are clearer and more reliable, helping teams manage workloads, spot trends, and deliver faster, smarter customer service.

New voicemail email option for Cloud PBX:

The Cloud PBX voicemail email feature has been extended with a new option: email notification with voice message and message deletion. In addition to the existing choices (no email notification, email notification only, email notification with voice message), this option sends each new voice message as an email attachment and automatically deletes it from the voicemail system. The same option is now also available at the user level, giving you more control over how voicemails are managed and delivered. This makes it easier to stay on top of important messages in your everyday work, for example, when you’re working remotely and need to quickly review a client’s voicemail without logging into the office system.

Enhanced mass provisioning for cloud PBX devices:

We’ve expanded mass provisioning to support Cloud PBX devices with a new type of group key. When creating a group for a Cloud PBX, you can now select the group type of softphone or device. For device key groups, all key types are available, including speed dial, supervision, forward, headset, audio hub, and group withdrawal, with their corresponding destination and label. You can also define the key position on the phone for each user. Once created, the key group can be applied to users to configure their devices, while existing mass provisioning via CSV continues to work as before.

Manage away and offline visibility:

Administrators can now manage the visibility of users’ “Away” and “Offline” durations. This feature gives organizations greater control over privacy in sensitive environments, allowing inactive times to be hidden and protecting user activity information across the company.

Configure device keys in one go:

You can now easily manage programmable keys for Cloud PBX devices directly through group settings. Apply configurations like speed dial, supervision, forwarding, or audio hub to multiple users at once, and define each key’s position on the phone. This update simplifies setup, saves time, and keeps every device aligned with your team’s needs.

Firmware update for 8262 DECT handset New 8263 DECT handset:

The new 8262 DECT handset is now supported on existing IP/DECT base stations. The update also adds support for CPE-based alarming solutions, allowing the handset to integrate with existing alert systems while maintaining reliable performance.

Secondary ringer now active for notifications:

Sound notifications are now available on the secondary ringer. When the secondary ringer is enabled for incoming calls, it follows the same settings as the primary ringer. This update gives users the flexibility to configure alerts according to their preference while maintaining the reliability of hearing important calls, regardless of which ringer is active.

A VNA (Visual Notification assistant) can now be linked to multiple PBX groups, so different teams can use the same central hub. For example, if your company has several departments with separate phone groups, they can all share the same VNA, reducing setup complexity and making phone system management faster for emergency callings and easier while customer care ensures the setup is secure through the superadmin account.

Smarter site selection for emergency calls:

Selecting your site for emergency calls is now faster and easier. The new interface lets you quickly find your location with a search bar and view your recent selections for instant access. For users who rarely change location, the system can remember your last site, reducing repetitive steps. This update simplifies site selection, saves time, and makes managing a large number of locations effortless.

Run multiple LDAP connectors on one server:

You can now deploy multiple LDAP connectors on a single Windows machine, with each connector working independently for a different company. This makes it easier for IT teams to manage multiple Rainbow accounts from one server, saving time, reducing infrastructure needs, and keeping each company’s setup secure and separate.

Control calls with your Yealink headset:

You can now use your Yealink headset to manage calls directly from your desktop. Answer, hang up, and mute calls without touching your computer, making it easier to stay focused and handle calls efficiently. This update simplifies call management and keeps your workflow uninterrupted.

See every notification right where you’re working:

Display desktop notifications on the same screen as your application! Now, notifications appear exactly where you’re working, so you never miss important messages or updates. Whether it’s a colleague assigning a task, sharing a document, mentioning you in a chat, or an urgent meeting invitation, the notification appears in your line of sight. This helps you respond immediately, stay on top of deadlines, and manage your workflow efficiently, keeping collaboration and productivity seamless throughout your day.

Enhanced audio control for calls:

Take control of your phone calls quality with new advanced audio settings, now available on web and desktop. If you're experiencing audio issues during calls, it may be due to conflicts between our application's audio management and your headset's built-in processing. These new advanced audio profile settings allow you to selectively disable background noise suppression and echo cancellation to resolve potential interference. By turning off these features when your headset already handles audio processing, you can eliminate distortions, dropouts, or feedback loops and find the optimal balance for clearer call quality.

Login and onboarding screens have changed design, providing a clearer and more consistent experience across account creation, guest access, password recovery, and webinar entry. The update makes the process more intuitive, helping users get started with the app efficiently and confidently from their very first interaction.

The on-hold experience now delivers clearer visuals and a smoother transition across call types. A dedicated on-hold icon now appears directly on participant avatars, bringing better visibility during voice and video calls. In video mode, the interface now switches naturally to the participant’s avatar for a consistent and professional look. These enhancements make on-hold moments more intuitive, more polished, and easier to follow in every call.
