Add, Edit or Delete a Post in a Channel

As a channel owner or publisher, you can post to the channel. Each Channel contains a number of Post that can have different types of content. You can publish texts, pictures, links, etc. It's up to you...
Try to diversify the type of your content to generate even more interest from your subscribers.

Post Content in Channel

Role required: Any member in a channel with a Publisher role is able to post new information in this channel.

  1. Click on a Channel where you have the right to publish content on the right panel.
  2. Click on "New Post" button in the Channel top banner.
  3. Insert your text, images, video (YouTube) or " files" and format them using the available options. Lean more
  4. Click on "Publish" to display your Post to your subscribers.
  1. Go to Channel space clicking on the "newsfeed.svg Channels" in the bottom of the screen.
  2. Tap "quick_reference_FILL0_wght400_GRAD0_opsz24 1.svg My channels" next to the search window above. Select channel.
  3. Tap "add_FILL0_wght400_GRAD0_opsz24.svgAdd post" in the lower right corner of the screen.
  4. Insert your text, images, video (YouTube) or " files" and format them using the available options. Lean more
  5. Tap on "check.svg Publish" to display your Post to your subscribers.

Note:  Subscribers will receive a notification when you post. Remember to review the content carefully before clicking the "Publish" button.

Using the Channel Editor

  • Styles: Select a sentence and set it to "Heading 1", "Heading 2", or "Normal" to assign a font size.
  • "format_bold_FILL0_wght400_GRAD0_opsz24.svg bold": Make the selected text bold.
  • "format_italic_FILL0_wght400_GRAD0_opsz24.svg italic": Make the selected text italic
  • "format_underlined_FILL0_wght400_GRAD0_opsz24.svgunderline": Make the selected area underlined
  • "strikethrough_s_FILL0_wght400_GRAD0_opsz24.svg strike": Make the selected area a strike-through line
  • "format_list_numbered_FILL0_wght400_GRAD0_opsz24.svg numbered list": Make a numbered list of the selected area.
  • "list_FILL0_wght400_GRAD0_opsz24 (1).svg bulleted list": Make a bulleted list of selected area.
  • "link_FILL0_wght400_GRAD0_opsz24 1.svg add link": Add a link to the selected text. Select the text, click on the"link_FILL0_wght400_GRAD0_opsz24 1.svg add link" icon and enter the link in the "Enter link" field.
  • "add_photo_alternate_FILL0_wght400_GRAD0_opsz24.svg images": Your pictures can be upload from your Computer or from your Rainbow Sharing. Pictures uploaded from your Computer are automatically added to your Rainbow Sharing.
  • "video.svg attach a Youtube video": You can add a Youtube video. Enter the video link in the "Enter the video URL" field and click "Apply".
  • "attachment_FILL0_wght400_GRAD0_opsz24.svg attach a file": You can attach any kind of documents. Subscribers can view and download the file.
  • "photo-camera.svg Camera":You can take pictures to share on channels on your device.
  • "image_24dp_FILL0_wght400_GRAD0_opsz24.svg images": Your pictures can be added from your device or from your Rainbow Sharing. 
  • "theaters_24dp_FILL0_wght400_GRAD0_opsz24.svg attach a Youtube video": You can add a Youtube video. Enter the video link in the "Enter the video URL" field and click "OK".
  • "attach_mobile.svg attach a file": Your documentss can be added from your device or from your Rainbow Sharing. 

Edit a Post

A Publisher can only manage his own Posts. The Channel Owner can delete the Publisher's Posts but not modify them.

You may edit your post at any time. You can edit posts from a mobile device, with the exception of posts containing rich text.

  1. Open your Channel.
  2. Click on "rainbow__icons_more_vert.svg More action" of the post you want to modify, and choose "edit.svg Modify this post".
  3. You can edit the post in the same editor as for a Post creation.
  4. Click "Apply".

Note: Subscribers will also receive a notification when you make a modification. Following an update, the date of your Post is update but its position in the timeline does not change.

  1. Go to Channel space clicking on the "newsfeed.svg Channels" in the bottom of the screen.
  2. Tap "quick_reference_FILL0_wght400_GRAD0_opsz24 1.svg My channels" next to the search window above. Select a channel and find the post.
  3. Tap on "rainbow__icons_more_vert.svg More action" in the upper right corner of each post and choose "edit.svg Modify this post".
  4. Edit post, and tap "check.svgApply".

Note: If the post contains rich text, you cannot modify the post on a mobile device. Please try on a computer.

Remove a Post

Publishers can delete posts they have made, but cannot delete others' posts. Channel owners can delete all posts.

  1. Open your Channel.
  2. Click on "rainbow__icons_more_vert.svg More action" of the post you want to modify, and choose "edit.svg Remove this post".
  3. Click "Remove".

Warning: Note that deleted posts cannot be restored. It is also a good idea to take a screenshot or copy-paste the text into your notepad before deleting it.
