New Features

User experience

• [For PBX calls only] Echo cancellation and background noise suppression are now specified as parameters in audio profile of user's telephony settings to define a better audio quality.
• It's possible to copy/paste from some MS tools, with a format accepting bold, italic, strikethrough text, bullets and ordered text.

Collaboration

• When administrator enables the new setting "Display the duration of presence states", the duration of the presence status “Away” or “Offline” is shown by the other users of the company having subscribed to the company user's presence.

• Users may react to messages with emoji. The emoji palette includes a search bar and organized categories such as "Recent", "Efficient working " (including predefined list) and "Other Categories."
• Images in push notification help to highlight the notifications.
• When going onstage, speakers are automatically unmuted. The onstage invitation popup indicates that the microphone is turned on when joining the stage.

• (Soon) The Custo-Manifest support is moving from Desktop to Web application. All extensions points are now supported by the Web.

• [Hybrid offer] In the user's 'Notifications' settings, when the secondary ringer is enabled for incoming calls, sound notification can also be played on the secondary ringer.

• [Beta Only] [OXE only] It's possible to select OXE CLI to be presented using a Prefix number thus, an outgoing call can be forced to use a specific prefix instead of the default outgoing prefix.

• (Soon) [OXE with VNA only] The user interface for selecting the current site that is used when placing emergency calls has been enhanced to improving the search capability for XXL companies.

• Transfer destination dialog box includes the speed dials in all softphone modes (Teams included).

ADMIN

Hybrid Telephony 

• [Early Adopter ONLY] [OXE Hybrid Enterprise] Fixed REX CCD user topology is supported. The Rex number is associated to the Rainbow user by administrator in the user's telephony page.
• [Early Adopter ONLY] An admin can manage a CCD user associated to a Rex Pro-ACD so that this one is able to act as a business user, by adding a OXE CCD agent number.
• Administrator can deploy a custo-manifest in standalone web application by using a ZIP package must with included resources file. The web app supports browser and RainbowBot actions.
• [Beta Only] The table of CLI (Prefix, DDI, label) is handled by the administrator.
• It's possible to manage the supervision Group limits:
  • Max number of supervisees for a company
  • Max number of groups a supervisor can belong to
  • Max number of supervisees per supervisor in a group
  • Max number of groups per company.
  • A ticket has to be opened to CCARE to modify the default values.

Cloud Telephony

• (Soon) Statistics: around MOS quality score on Rainbow Hub calls using a desk phone are available to an administrator. Supported Deskphones: H3G/ALE-2/M8/M3s/M5s/M7s/M7s Pro DeskPhone 2.15.11.000.3006; Myriad DeskPhone 2.14.23.000.2608.
• An admin is able to add a voicemail as a new destination for both open & closed hours of the welcome service.
• (Soon) The mass provisioning of programmable keys has been enhanced to take also into account group of device keys, for which all type of keys are available : speed dial, supervision, forward, headset, audio hub and group withdrawal. Once created, the keys group can be applied to a user and modify his device.
• In addition to the existing options (no email notification, email notification only, email notification with message) the CloudPBX voicemail option to activate email sending is extended with a new option "Email notification with voice message and message deletion".
• A call routed to a call queue is taken into account as only one call for more accuracy in Call log and Analytics. 
   

All-Admin

• When an automatic download of the certificate for the SSO via SAML is allowed, the parameter "ValidUntil" is now configurable.
• A new setting in the profiles (Telephony and Unified Communications) enables the prioritization of the phone calls before Rainbow calls.
• A new setting 'Activate "Do not disturb" mode from Microsoft Teams' is available in the profiles (Telephony and Unified Communications) to limit the usage of DND for Teams users.
• LDAP - A debug configuration flag "Debug with content" has been created to avoid including directory's content in the trace file (LDAP and Rainbow directory contents, csv file in the zip).
• The Client Secret in Client application credentials in Company Settings/Security/OIDC is no longer visible. The icon 'eye' to show it has been removed for security reasons.
• (Soon) EDGE only
  • A specific status page is added on Web admin running on the Edge. The available information is:
    • the status: init, active, error, warning, pending_license_request
    • the last update date & action: activate, license request, license import, consistency check
    • the user responsible of the last update
    • the subscriptions' list from the license file for imported licences
    • if any, the subscriptions' list entered in grace period.
  • A grace period on prepaid subscription expired on edge is added to allow BPs to import a license file to renew expired prepaid subscription(s).
• Legal - The chapter related to the reversibility Terms of Use has been modified.

Main fixes

• Analytics

The file exported from Voice-Groups contained only the headers.

The issue appeared when only one group was selected.

• Avatar

Avatar changed in contact info was not modified in the admin view.

The new avatar is displayed as soon as the admin page has been refreshed.

• Bubble

Bubbles could be seen as archived after the sending of an invitation.

An incorrect status user's change leading to this state has been fixed.

• Contact

Drop a contact from conversation list to contact list shown the message "Drop user here" but didn't work.

This notification has been removed where it's not efficient.

• Contacts

The deletion of duplicate contacts in personal directory was not possible.

The instance of contacts was stored in an internal buffer in the Web client and no longer deleted.

• Copy/paste

A text copied from PowerPoint containing line breaks was not sent.

An enhancement has been done through a new development about copy/past from Office suit.

• Cosmetics

There was a button overlap in Add/Change Company logo "Choose file".

• Custom Status

The message of a custom status was poorly displayed (misalignment, incorrect break of words)

The display has been reviewed.

• Citrix

The first DTMF tone was not transmitted in Citrix with audio redirection enabled.

There was a lack of synchronization between components. The first DTMF code couldn't be considered in time.

• Citrix

There was no audio with Citrix redirection for audio optimization.

It's fixed now.

• Dark theme

Channel category business was not readable in dark theme.

The contrast has been heightened.

• Display

The unit corresponding to the storage filling rate was duplicated.

Only one “%” remains now.

• Display

The information 'new version available' in WebRTC admin page was not contrasted enough in light mode.

The contrast has been enhanced.

• Display

In the Rainbow settings in German language, the option "how to send chat messages" was partly hidden.

It's fixed.

• Edge - LDAP sync

LDAP synchronization was not well displayed.

The synchronization period is well kept now.

• Fallback (Hybrid)

The label linked to the fallback option was inconsistent.

The correct label set is 'VoIP calls will be redirected to this destination in cases of Rainbow connection issues'.

• French translation has been added for the string 'transcription pending'.
• German translation
  • done for “Bestätigen” instead of “Gültig”.
  • updated for the message of connection establishment.
  • fully  translated in the user accessibility settings.
  • GUI translation in telephony settings "delete file" for customization file.
  • GUI translation in file sharing group option.
• Group admins

In English, the label 'Manager and Agent' in the details of a group has been moved to 'Administrator and Agent' for consistency with the detailed view as user in a group.

• Group analytics

After a 30-day group analysis report, the exported call record was empty, showing only zeros.

• Hub routines

A display issue has been fixed in French language for Rainbow Hub routines.

• LDAP

There was no information in Rainbow why a dry run process couldn't start.

The information available in the logs is now clearly reported in the admin page.

• Operator

After hanging up a first call, the operator was automatically answering the second call.

The second answer was done by the headset. It has been fixed.

• Rainbow updates

Some information was not readable in dark theme in the Rainbow updates.

The contrast has been changed.

• Supervision

Supervision group button to join or leave the group kept disappearing at Rainbow attendants.

A variable was not checked correctly. This has been fixed.

• Supervision - hybrid

On supervisor side, the call notification didn't appear.

The notification didn't show up when the app didn't have the focus, it appears now in all cases.

• Typo

Typing special characters on  Mac led to write automatically 2 characters.

The special character is now replacing the basic one instead of being added to it

New Features

Support

• Electron v39 (the component allowing the creation of multiplatform desktop applications) is now supported. Consequently: Apple macOS Catalina (10.15) and Big Sur (11) are no longer supported. macOS 26 Tahoe is now supported.

• Electron V37 was the last version to support MAC OS 11.

• Yealink headsets commands are now supported on Desktop (unhook, hang-up, mute commands).

Main fixes

• Bubble

A bubble link to a bubble could not be opened through outlook in the Desktop app.

A new parameter coming from Windows was missing.

• Click To Call

The Click to Call was not working with some CRMs.

The phone number was interpreted as an email address not as a phone call.

• Display

The task bar was hidden when user shared a screen.

The red border was the cause of the issue.

• An animation is added when navigating between different screens in the application. There is an open animation when changing screen, and a close animation when going back.

Numbers could be treated as telephone numbers even though they were not numerable.

The phone numbers linking have been removed in channels.

New Features

Quality 

• Several features have been redesigned: Creation of personal contact list, meeting options while in conference (particularly: share option is separated from the On/Off settings).

• Dialpad screen has been refactored for a better user experience.

• An enhancement has been made in hybrid telephony for the use case where the app is woken up by a VoIP call (propose) in push already ended, and then receives a new one simultaneously with a cleaning event of the first one to manage properly this second call and display it anyway.

Collaboration

Main fixes

• Call

An error was returned when a user wanted to call an internal number.

The temporary loss of the link ensuring transport of data between application and servers led to this issue. A mechanism has been added to restart the call request in such a case.

• Carplay

Some German translation was missing in iOS Carplay.

Modification has been made in the app, so the translation is no longer needed.

• Beta versions
  • Message update: incoming messages were missing until the chat was refreshed by leaving and reopening it on iPhone.
  • CLI by Prefix menu was not displayed. 

Others

New Features

Terminals

• 8262 DECT Handset is now supported on the existing IP/DECT base station with a new firmware supporting CPE-based alarming solutions.
•  

AD/LDAP connector (Early Adopter ONLY)

• [Desktop, Web, Ldap] The calendar presence of a user can be synchronized from an Exchange server. Rainbow must display the following information it gets from the CPE exchange server: current meeting, next meeting, out of office messages.

TEAMS connector (when Teams component is available)

• Filter can be applied on user's call log: all / missed / incoming / outgoing calls.
• CallLog in Teams also propose an extension with a customized icon (on-call-log-list-actions: a button is inserted in each item of the call-log list- to be noted: it doesn't allow a program execution).
• A customized information can be displayed in the Rainbow Teams tab. The text is retrieved from a text file in the ZIP file with manifest or from an URL and depends on user identity email.
•  Depending on the setting 'Activate "Do not disturb" mode from Microsoft Teams' a Teams user could activate or not the DND.
• (Soon) For the sake of clarity, the graphical user interface of the Hub group widget has been slightly redesigned to be more consistent with the one used in the Web application.

CPaaS

• (Soon) Some bot or process needs a permanent authentication even though the account authentication changes, it can be done through the Api Key authentication process.

• (Soon) Rainbow Web client can be embedded as a frame in customer third party applications.

Price and references were wrong in the invoice files.

It was a misconfiguration in ALE quoting tools. It's fixed now.
