My First Connection
When you first log in to Rainbow through Teams, authentication is required (it will not be requested again afterwards).
It is also recommended to share your calendar availability information (free, busy, out of office), as well as your Microsoft Teams presence (busy, do not disturb), with members of your company and users in your network.
Additionally, it is advisable to add your Outlook personal contacts to the search directory to benefit from access to your Outlook contacts directly within the Rainbow interface.
Note: The Rainbow Desktop application is required for automatic sign-in.
If you haven’t installed it yet, you can visit the Rainbow download page to download and install the application.
- Sign in to your Teams application with your Microsoft account.

Open the Rainbow Business Telephony in Teams application area at the left of the Teams window.
- An automatic sign-in will be initiated. Allow the Rainbow application to open for authentication. You are now connected to Rainbow within the Teams application.

Allow Rainbow to access your Microsoft Office 365 account.
Calendar/Presence: select the "Activate" button to share your calendar availability information, as well as your Microsoft Teams presence if enabled.
Calendar-based presence: select this option to set your presence to "Do not disturb" when a scheduled event in your Office 365 calendar starts.
Synchronizing Microsoft Teams presence: select this option to synchronize Microsoft Teams presence "Busy" or "Do not Disturb" with Rainbow application.
Outlook personal contact search: Select the "Activate" button to add your Outlook personal contacts to the search directories, enhancing Rainbow’s "search by name" feature with your Outlook personal contacts. -
You are now ready to use Rainbow Telephony features in the MS Teams application.
Note: Depending on your configuration, your Microsoft and Rainbow accounts may be linked. In that case, you don’t need to authenticate on the Rainbow side.
