This article allows to configure the public numbering plan for a Cloud PBX associated to a customer company.
Management operations are performed from the public number management window of the company.
From the public number management window, you can:
- As Rainbow reseller only, configure one or several ranges of public numbers for the company.
After configuring the public numbering plan, the first number of the first range of public numbers is defined as public number of the company. - Change the public number for the company
- Manage the public number for destinations such as company members, Automated Attendants, hunting groups and manager/assistant groups
- Remove the public number for destinations
- As Rainbow reseller only, remove public numbers for company
This article describes only operations available to Rainbow resellers. For other operations listed above, and common to company administrators: see article: Manage public numbers for your company.
Note: Company members without any assigned public number can still make outgoing calls. The public number seen by the called party is the public number of the company.
Accessing the public number configuration window
- From the Rainbow application, click on Manage your customers
in the left panel.
- In the MY CUSTOMERS panel, click on Customers companies.
- In the right part of the window, click on the name of the target customer company.
- In the left panel, click on Communication.
- In the right panel of the window, click on the Public numbers tab.
Configuring the public numbers for the company
- From the public number configuration window, click on Create.
- Enter the public number, or the first number of the range (canonical format is accepted).
- If necessary, and in case public numbers were already defined, select the Set as company phone number check box if this public number must become the new company phone number.
- To create a range of numbers, select the Create a range of public numbers check box, and select the number of public numbers to create in the Range size field.
- Click on Apply.
If Set as company phone number has not been checked, the first number of the first range of public numbers is defined as public number of the company, and set to Yes in the Company phone number column.
Deleting public numbers for the company
If the public number to delete is the company phone number, you must first assign this feature to another public number of the list.
To delete a public number:
- From the public number configuration window, move your mouse over the target public number, click on
, and select Remove public number.
A confirmation pop-up window opens. - Click on Remove to confirm.
To delete several public numbers:
- From the public number configuration window, select the check box in front of the target public numbers and click on Remove in the top right part of the window.
A confirmation pop-up window opens. - Click on Remove to confirm.
