Record a Web Call
During Web Call, you can record an audio or video conversation at any time. The recording is saved either in your Rainbow personal storage ("Files" tab) or on your device.
Note: Record a Web Call only if it's useful for your business. Be aware that the recording consumes storage resources. Think about our planet.
- Open the contextual menu on the right side of the conversation bar during the conversation.
- Select the " Start recording" menu. Your correspondent is informed that the conversation is being recorded. " Recording" appears at the top left of your conversation window and that of your correspondent, next to the duration of the conversation. A beep can be heard when the recording starts. A notification is also displayed in the message thread.
- Feel free to pause the recording at any time by selecting the button and resume whenever you wish by selecting the button during the recording session.
- The record is stoped automaticaaly at the end of the conversation or at any time by selecting the stop button or "Stop recording" in the contextual menu on the right side of the conversation bar. A notification is displayed in the message thread.
- A .mp4 file is generated: Conv_name_date_time.mp4. Save the file either in your Rainbow personal storage ("Files" tab) or on your device. Select the "Cancel" button not to save the recording.
- In this example, the record is saved in your Rainbow personal storage. Open your Rainbow personal storage by selecting the "Files" tab. You can delete, share, download or play the recording.
