Edit or Delete Messages

You wanted to reply to a collaborator but sent your message too fast? Don't panic with Rainbow, you have 150 minutes from the time you send to edit or delete your message. These options allow you to modify a word, a sentence or change your message completely if needed.

Edit a Message

Even if the message has already been read by your contact, you can edit it for 150 minutes. In this case, the message is marked as modified in the conversation.

  1. Open the contextual menu more_vert.svg that appears when you hover over the message you want to edit.
  2. Select "edit.svg Edit" and and modify the message.
  3. Press the Enter key on your keyboard to validate the modification, or the Escape key on your keyboard to cancel the modification.

  2. Tap the edit.svgEdit and modify the message.
  3. Tap the send.svgSend icon to send a message.

Note: Note : You can modify your message for 150 minutes after sending it

Delete a Message

Even if the message has already been read by your contact, it is possible to delete a message in a conversation for 150 minutes. In this case, the message "block.svgThis message was deleted" is displayed into the conversation.

  1. Open the contextual menu more_vert.svg that appears when you hover over the message you want to delete.
  2. Select "delete.svg Delete". The message is deleted. "block.svgThis message was deleted" is displayed instead, informing your contact that the message has been deleted.

  2. Tap the more_vert.svgMore Options.Select "delete.svgDelete" and tap Remove.
  3. delete.svg"You have deleted this message" is displayed instead, informing your contact that the message has been deleted.

Remove all Messages

It is possible to remove all messages of a conversation. All messages are removed from your side. Your contact will continue to see all messages. 

  1. Select the conversation from which you want to remove all messages.
  2. Open the contextual menu more_vert.svg"Other actions" on the right side of the top bar.
  3. Select "delete-all.svg Remove all messages". A confirmation is requested.
  4. Please read carefully before confirming the deletion by clicking on "Remove" button.
  5. All messages are removed from the conversion on your side.

  2. Tap "chat_setting.svgMore options" to open the menu.
  3. Select "delete-all.svg Remove all messages". A confirmation is requested.
  4. Please read carefully before confirming the deletion by clicking on "Remove" button.
  5. All messages are removed from the conversion on your side.

Warning: All messages of your conversation will be removed. This operation cannot be undone.
