Reply, Forward or Copy Messages

Do you want to reply to a particular message in a conversation? When you reply to a message, the original message appears above the response, creating a direct link. 

You can reply to any text message, picture, animated GIF, file, location, voice message, YouTube video or code snippet.

Reply to a Message

You can reply to any text message, picture, animated GIF, file, location, voice message, YouTube video or code snippet.

  1. Open the contextual menu more_vert.svg that appears when you hover over the message you want to reply.
  2. Select "reply.svg Reply" and simply type your message in the text box.
  3. Press the send icon send.svg or hit the enter key on your keyboard to send the message.

  2. Select reply.svgReply.
  3. Type your message in the text box.
  4. Tap the send icon send.svg to send the message.

Tips: You can also reply to your own messages.

Forward a Message

It is possible to forward a message to another recipient. In this case, the message received by your contact is marked as "forwarded".

  1. Open the contextual menu more_vert.svg that appears when you hover over the message you want to forward.
  2. Select "forward.svg Forward". A "Forward this message" popup is opened.
  3. In addition to the forwarded message, you can add your own message in the text box provided. This text will be placed just before the forwarded message.
  4. Add one or more contacts to receive the forwarded message by using the search interface or by dragging and dropping a contact directly from the recent conversations list. 
  5. Select the "Forward" button to forward the message.

  3. Find the contact you want to forward. Select from the list of recent conversations or search through the search bar.
  4. Tap the send icon send.svg to send the message.

Copy a Message

You can copy a message to the clipboard to paste it into a document, email, or another message for examples.

  1. Open the contextual menu more_vert.svg that appears when you hover over the message you want copy.
  2. Select "text_copy.svg Copy". The message is copied into the clipboard and a confirmation is displayed at the top of the window.
  1. Press and hold the message you want to copy.
  2. Select "text_copy.svgCopy". The message is copied into the clipboard and a confirmation appears at the bottom of the screen.
