Rainbow Classroom 2.7.8
New features
- Added separate Edit Participants List options for Teachers, Students, and Guests (User Role).
- Teachers can now be enrolled in a class as students and will have all student-related permissions in that specific class (User Role).
- User can now change the role of the existing students/guest and convert them to teacher by changing the role on edit.
- Enabled Mass Provisioning Job Scheduling for Moodle, Open LMS, and Canvas-based organizations.
- Introduced License Management in Mass Provisioning for Moodle, Open LMS, and Canvas-based organizations.
- Jobs can now be archived, and users must archive a job before deleting it.
- Added support for the Plus (+) icon in email address formats when creating a user.
- Introduced Flowchart Feature with custom templates, library items and screenshot capture functionality.
- Talking Time Stats now associated with attendance sessions.
- Rainbow Recording Ecosystem integrated for improved recording management, allowing users to play, download, and share recordings as a single file.
- Recordings can now be Grouped by Classes for better organization and management.
- Task Management feature enabled and available for all organizations.
- Storage Consumption Details now visible at the class level for shared files.
- Added the ability to Free Storage Space via the files modal.
- Users can now Duplicate Tasks by creating a copy.
Main fixes
- Fixed Attendance Log and Time issues.
- Fixed functional issues in Exam Rooms and Breakout Rooms.
- Improved the recording behavior during live sessions by disabling the recording icon once a Host or Co-host starts recording.
- Set default student permissions to true within class settings.
- Fixed missing participants in the right-side overlay for Exam Rooms; also removed unintended proctoring users.
- Resolved file download issues for course material in Exam Room.
- Reworked the mic mute/unmute logic to reflect real-time Rainbow mute state.
- Corrected inaccurate total joined time in Attendance.
- Addressed an issue where course material during a conference session were not seen..
- Synced student and guest roles in class data across Mass Provisioning and RPT tools.
- Guest role handling corrected to ensure appropriate permissions are applied.
- Fixed a UI overlap issue with the Exam Room join button.
- Updated the default French and Spanish language packs used in the Rainbow Classroom and Management Center.
- Applied translations for newly added labels in French and Spanish across all existing organizations.
- Updated the French and Spanish entries in the database to ensure new organizations automatically use the latest translations.
- Resolved an issue where users couldn’t play recordings during an ongoing live session.
- Updated all provisioning jobs to use UTC for time tracking.
- Standardized server and job time comparisons using UTC format.
- Improved the recording behavior during live sessions by disabling the recording icon once a Host or Co-host starts recording.
- Updated the Talking Time icon in the right-side overlay for better visual alignment.
- Added support to update user roles and subscription details via the /user/update API endpoint.
- Introduced a new dropdown option that allows Students and Guests to change their role to Teacher and update their license accordingly.

- Implemented the GetAdminFileTempUrl query to securely retrieve file URLs from the backend.
