Management operations consists in:
- Associating telephone devices to company members
- Removing telephone device/company member association
A complete view of all telephone devices declared in Cloud PBX is available from the Devices window of the company.
The telephone device management is performed from the member list of the company.
Prerequisites
- The telephone devices must be declared in Cloud PBX.
- The company members must have a Voice Business license.
Displaying all telephone devices declared in Cloud PBX
- From the Rainbow application, click on Manage your company
in the left panel.
- In the MY COMPANY panel, click on the name of your company.
- In the left panel, click on Communication.
- In the right part of the window, click on Devices.
The list of telephone devices is displayed with following information:
- The MAC address for ALE SIP deskphones, IPEI for ALE DECT handsets, or no value for third-party SIP equipment (i.e. generic SIP devices)
- The type and designation
- If associated, the company member name and internal extension number
- The connection status (Not connected/Running)
In case the connection status is Running, click on the telephone device to access more information such as IP address, listening port and software version.
Associating a telephone device to a company member
- From the Rainbow application, click on Manage your company
in the left panel.
- In the MY COMPANY panel, click on the name of your company.
- In the left panel, click on Members.
- Click on the target company member.
- In the pop-up window which opens, select the Telephony tab.
- If needed, in the Public number field, select the public number of the company member among listed available public numbers.
- In the Device field, select the associated telephone device among the list of available devices.
- Click on Apply.
- The telephone device associated to the company member is identified by its type in the Device type column (e.g. M5 in the figure below).
Removing telephone device/company member association
This operation removes telephone device/company member association and delete all telephone numbers of the company member (public and extension numbers).
Before removing the association, ensure the associated company member does not belong to a group. If this is the case, first remove the company member in the associated group.
- From the Rainbow application, click on Manage your company
in the left panel.
- In the MY COMPANY panel, click on the name of your company.
- In the left panel, click on Members.
- Click on the target company member.
- In the pop-up window which opens, select the Telephony tab.
- Click on Remove.
A confirmation pop-up window opens. - Click on Remove to confirm.
The telephone device becomes free, and can be assigned to another company member.
