Cloud Telephony
- [Voice offer] A user can create a supervision key on a group call without queue. This key displays a ring icon when the group is ringing (at list one member is ringing). When the key is pressed a group call pickup is performed.
Collaboration
- [Enterprise & Voice Enterprise offers, Attendant & Voice Attendant] A new option allows a bubble owner or organizer to better control the access of a bubble shared via open link. New joiners are notified that they must wait for entrance in a waiting room (lobby).
- [Enterprise] The user can clear specific information in bubbles, on demand or using an automatic clean-up after each conference. Are concerned: messages and files, members (out of organizers), polls, recordings (only on demand).

Quality
- Only users connected to a bubble are displayed in an ad-hoc conference.
- As already offered in mobile clients, to get rid of bad network conditions, participants are notified that they can disable their incoming videos and screen sharing from the ⁝ 3-dots menu. Notification: "We are detecting a network quality issue. We recommend you turn off incoming videos and/or screen sharing to keep a correct audio quality".
Softphone - popout
- In softphone mode, ongoing calls can be opened in an external window. Actions such as hold, mute do not close the external window, whereas add participant, transfer call to another, see video will close it).
User experience
- For better user experience in conferences, detection mechanisms of video quality and network congestion have been enhanced to compensate for the negative effects.
User interface
- By adding a gear, "Audio configuration" icons have been changed to clearly indicate that they are interactive and not only informative.
- Most useful icons in the left panel are displayed in any cases regardless of the screen size. Hidden icons benefit from notification badges to keep the user informed.
WEBINAR
- This new offer empowers users to host large meetings, events, and exhibitions in trusted environment, with the possibility to register them. 2 offers Webinar 120 and Webinar 500 are available. To create a webinar, the user must simply be granted the role "webinar host". Rainbow Webinar solution is offered through the Rainbow Store.

New settings in the profile templates allow to customize the Rainbow User menu: Using tasks, send reports, use test configuration can be disabled in permissions.

Cloud Telephony
- A BP can now change an existing trunk connected to a cloud pbx without deleting all DDIs of the company.

When a phone call record does not succeed, a notification failure is logged in the notification center and in the recording tab under "Communication" section.
- A BP admin can disable/enable the Opus Codec negotiation by Rainbow Hub softphones in the 'General' tab of the Equipment information section.
- (COMING SOON) Myriad M8 phones (firmware 2.14.21.000.2557) are now part of the Rainbow Hub solution.

- A new "Search devices" field allows to find devices by MAC Address, Member, Phone and also any word in the description (coming soon: by type or status & multiple sort criteria), in addition, the export file will be extended with all available information.
- An admin can create a supervision key on a group with the new destination 'Hunting Group', the key allows to search for a group without queue.
- Blocked devices are displayed in: - the devices tab, in supervision row for all blocked devices, with status 'Blocked' - the device information, in information tab, with status 'Blocked'. An 'unblock' button is available.
- BP admin is able retrieve remotely log files of a desk phone in Rainbow Hub context for models M3, M5, M7 and M8. By simply clicking "Get the device report" in the Device information page, logs are generated in a report visible in the web admin 'Reports' section. (Feature available soon for H3G).

Dial by Name on H3G/ALE-2 phones is enabled for the Brazilian market.
- Administration of Zero touch for Dect solution has been implemented. (New IP/Dect solutions DECT solution : 8328/8368 base stations and 8212/8214 handsets). Basically:
- DECT base station referenced by its MAC address in the device list of the company to be added.
- Handsets referenced by their IPEI to be added in the base station.
- User and handset (by editing the device associated to a user, or by editing the member associated to the handset) to be associated.
- Once the base is powered on, it will be automatically connected.
- User can power up the headset, press the "SIP" key.
- Hybrid Telephony
- The option to distribute ongoing calls dynamically in the context of simplification of complex OXE configuration with a cluster of WebRTC Gateways is restricted to the BP admins.
- The speed dials / Telephony keys are included in the user’s mass provisioning in the field "selectedProgKeysGroup Name": Group of keys is defined at company level and can be selected in the user profile (profile permitting).
- Changing CCD policy for busy/DND by admin will send a notification to reload the new CCD policy.
- Quote-to-Cash
- Administrators with a finance role are able to add a promo code when creating a subscription. If this code is valid, it displays a message 'Your Promo code will be applied on your invoice' and the subscription is created, otherwise an error message and the subscription is not created.
- Some promo codes are automatically added to a subscription (GoHub-Prepaid, GoHybrid-Prepaid and OT2RB).
- For sake of clarity, in Settings tab, customer and additional references for billing purposes are now greyed when necessary.
- Analytics
- The global dashboard has been reworked. All graphs are independent and can be resized or moved by drag&drop. Labels have been changed in graphs and in the settings.
- In any company, a new role "Analytics" is defined for users giving them access to the 'Analytics' page for their own company only in the Web admin.
- COMING SOON The analytics period can be customized in Group / Member Analytics. Available to admins, and to Group supervisors.
- In the "Call history" section, filtering all Voice calls is done not only by their caller and called or answered but also by other party in between (group, Welcome, AA).
- Export of some more Voice parameters has been added (Voice Welcome, Voice AA, Voice groups).
- The number of records exported is no longer limited in the export in Audio Quality dashboard.
Main fixes
Starting
Some customers could lose their configuration ('also ring my mobile' or 'other phone' mode activated without any user's action).
The configuration parameters are well sent to the app now.
LDAP connector
csv reports could contain an unclear error after modification of an email address.
The information already available in the detailed result on the admin page by flying the mouse over fails is now reported in the csv file.
Translation
- German wording have been reviewed for video activation/deactivation and the pinned message feature, in Rainbow storage management, in conferences.
- French wording has been added in Telephony Settings, in cloudPBX telephony: 'appels indisponibles' becomes 'Destination indisponible'.
- The language to create a cloud PBX was in English instead of French, which was selected.
Organization
An organization administrator with operation role couldn't create users in other companies of the organization.
This is fixed.
Update
While in conference, users could receive a popup notifying an upcoming update and offering the option 'Later'.
The popup is no longer displayed during a conference.
Telephony Settings
An admin could activate the "Set silent ringing" option in telephony tab for a User in Rex only.
Essential users couldn't access their telephony settings.
First step in hybrid environment: the telephony settings "Display of incoming call popupfor calls in office mode" and "Enable auto-answer for calls in Computer mode and in VOIP" can be accessed from the 'Notifications' section in the 'Incoming Call' area.

A typo error has been fixed in German in message related to the storage usage.
Analytics
- The names known in Business Directory were not displayed in the Analytics.
The name resolution is done now in the user interface of the application.
- In Phone calls, outbound calls were missing with the mouseover indicator.
They are taken into account now.
- In audio quality dashboard, the 'percentage of good legs' table could give a wrong indication and a focus on timeslot when decreasing the percentage of good calls didn't display the dots anymore.
Graph issues have been fixed.
- Filters applied to data were not considered in an export file.
They are now taken into account.
Report a problem
Error message could be displayed when user tried to report a problem.
The feature is ok now.
Reply
Clicking on reply didn't have sometimes any effect.
The reply goes back now again to the original message.
Admin
EC admins were able to modify sensitive information in devices (Mac address, reset to factory…)
Such information has been locked at EC level.
Callback
Call from IPDSP could request a callback when the call had already been answered.
Bad information in an event led to this issue.
Spell check
During spell checking, the correct word was added to the misspelled word without replacing it.
The editor was badly implemented.
VAA
User was unable to take any action after receiving an internal call transferred from VAA, when an external call was properly presented.
The transfer event was wrongly treated in web app.
Supervised call
Secondary ringer wasn't activated on supervisor receiving a call from a missed supervisee.
It has been fixed.
Headset
It could be no more possible to control calls from some specific headsets.
Some internal commands had been modified in the headsets. A workaround is now provided.
Forward
- Some forward cases didn't work correctly in multi-company OXE.
Missing information in the forward request has been added to allow an internal forward.
- A change of parameter 'call Forwarding/Without condition' set to « Voicemail » to "No forward" was not taken into account.
When a routine is active, the message "Member information successfully updated" is no longer presented. Only the error message is displayed.
Cloud - Mac address
An error was displayed in the Mc address field for some phones.
The generic SIP devices not needing Mc address, the field and then the error is no longer displayed for them.
Citrix - early adopter - Conference
User got only one action button 'call participant' when joining a conference.
Citrix environment uses other mechanisms for media, the concerned component is now fixed.
Cloud - Call answering
Some calls could be dropped as soon as they were established.
After multiple clicks on answer button, the app takes now only the first one to correctly carry out the call setup sequence. Others are ignored.
Call log
Some names whose numbers where stored in the business directory couldn't be displayed in the call log.
Webinar - early adopter
- Logout/login could be necessary to see all details of a webinar.
- The csv participant example contained a first empty line that could lead to render an error if not deleted before being sent.
- Attendees could lose their audio during a session.
A component of the audio has been reworked.
- People invited on stage could not hear other persons already on stage.
- Results coming from an import of the participant csv file were not readable.
Colors, display and even the error messages have been modified.
Date
Date format has been corrected in German language.
Files
It was not possible to transfer a file received from a user registered another datacenter.
New development has been implemented to authorize such operation.
Voice mail
Reading a voice message by using the Rainbow Hub visual voice mail could go back unexpectedly to the beginning of the message.
This is fixed now.
Avatar
Changed user's avatar was not reported on members admin page.
Avatar update was not dynamic in admin page.
Headset
By using specific headset in parallel to mobile and Desktop, at the start of a conference, played music was stopped, but at the end of conference, there was no audio with the resumed audio.
A customized audio processing script was not working correctly.
Search
Search results were not accurate, the returned number of occurrences didn't display a right value.
The result is correct now.
Transfer
User's presence was not displayed when resulting from a search for a transfer.
Presence is now available in any cases.
CCD
- On Deskphone, it was not possible to resume a call put on hold and resumed by Rainbow.
An event was not correctly used to resume the call from Rainbow.
- At the agent log in, the Rainbow app client was displayed behind the CCD agent log in page for Teams.
The Rainbow desktop client is not displayed anymore.
DND
Some users couldn't be able to change a status 'DND - in presentation' although they were not.
This is fixed now.
Welcome services
Dropdown to choose a calendar was limited to 100 at the creation of a new welcome service.
The scroll bar allows now to see more than the 100 first entries.
SDK Web
- Audio tag was missing for adding a microphone so a P2P conversation led to unidirectional conversation Guest-Rainbow.
- Enhancements have been provided for a connection to a bubble as guest user.
Messages
- Introducing a smiley in a message moved the cursor at a wrong place.
The cursor isn't going back now.
- Modify a message could be not taken into account.
The save option is now working.
Calendar
The error message displayed when trying to delete a calendar was unexplicit.
When the calendar cannot be removed, the error is now clear.
Voice prompt
An admin in softphone only was not able to upload voice prompt.
This use case has been added.
Wording
At user level, the setting 'Unavailable call overflow' has been reworded with the following value: 'Same as company' instead of 'To voice mail'.
Call
It could happen that a call to a phone number got an error message 'not authorized'.
The application was not updated correctly after a first call and prevent from further calls.
Profile
Defining a mobile phone in one's profile, could lead to display this number instead of the user's name in the user's own application for a while.
Emergency numbers
The emergency numbers were listed in the order they were added.
Emergency numbers are listed in a sorted order now, below the main emergency number always on top of the list (a tooltip remains what is this number).
Invitation
Rainbow contact invitation couldn't be accepted neither denied after the account of the inviter was terminated.
An information is now displayed to warn the invited person, who can accept anyway or deny.
Blurring
Using the blurring introduced delay in video.
Enhancements have been provided to limit this lack of responsiveness.
What's new
"Mark all as read" option in the What's new didn't work.
The option is reactivated.
Teams
Rainbow desktop interface was displayed when user clicked on the icon for creating a personal contact.
No show poput is used anymore in desktop when action is done on Teams.
Callback
A requested callback displayed a wrong message ' you have a callback request '.
The name of the caller is well indicated now.
Default language
Desktop installation in French by default could nevertheless switch to English language.
Rainbow attendant
It's was sometimes not possible to answer an incoming call with Rainbow Attendant.

(Windows) Setup
- Desktop app could be removed after an auto update and needed to be reinstalled.
Enhancements have been made to add protections in case of network problem during an update.
- Some users couldn't setup the latest version of Desktop app.
A wrong check for .net framework version was made, preventing the app to be installed.

Several users complained about the bad working of the F6 key.
Issue was located in the clipboard that didn't take the tel numbers.

The filter 'NoShortNumber' didn't work.
The way to determine a call as internal or external has been reworked.

The usage of Outlook add-in could could lower performances of the mailbox.
A parsing problem in the contact synchronization has been fixed.

Several Jabra headsets could get mute/unmute issues.
A fix has been provided to workaround a Jabra skd issue.
(Windows / Mac) Conference module
Plugging a conference module (Konftel ego) during an ongoing conference with audio could cut the audio.
Unexpected events sent from the conference module are now ignored to maintain the sounds.
(Windows) Add participant
First called party client could crash when the caller added a third participant in conversation.
Feature has been strengthened to avoid such issue.
(Windows) Uninstall
Uninstall a Desktop version (Rainbow for Teams 2.5.0 per machine setup) prevented users from other default actions in Windows.
Uninstalling Rainbow for Teams per machine deleted the Windows registry key. A fix has been provided to avoid such radical removal.
(Windows) Desktop SHA1
Rainbow Window.exe signature was SHA1, which was not enough in terms of security.
A stronger algorithm is now used.
(Windows / Mac) Crash
Some users complained about Desktop crashes.
Latest core engine of the Desktop has been implemented and fixes this kind of issues.

User experience
- The application has been completely revamped for optimum accessibility.
- Unless in case of blind transfer, the user who has leaved the screen conversation (call or conference) to do something else won't be automatically redirected to the call screen.
- To stay up to date with the latest version, users of smartphones not subject to MDM will be offered an in app automatic update.
- For better user experience in conferences, detection mechanisms of video quality and network congestion have been enhanced to compensate for the negative effects.
- It's possible to directly add the full contact list to a bubble at once.
- It's possible to clear all recent searches at once with the 'Clear all' option in the search bar.
- When opening a picture in a conversation, the user sees now previous and next images by sliding to the left or to the right. A tap on the active picture provides best resolution. Zoom is allowed too.
- User can insert the content of a QR code from the smartphone camera.
- A call button is displayed instead of other contextual action icons in the search result screen (if the user can be called) to simplify calling.
- In a conversation, swiping a message to the right allows to start replying to it straight away, without wasting time looking for the 'reply' option.

Main fixes
DND
- DND mode didn't prevent user from receiving call notifications on external Bluetooth equipment.
This use case is now taken into account.
- User in DND but allowed to be notified from Rainbow was not getting notifications nor rings at incoming calls on Rainbow app.
The exception rule is applied now.
Hunting group
Messages in bubbles linked to a phone group didn't appear on Android.
It's been fixed.
Callback
It was not possible to call back an external Rainbow user from the call history.
The right to call back a user in different company and not in the roster of the caller (normal behavior for privacy purposes) has been opened when the phone number is available from the previous call.

New Features
Collaboration
- [Enterprise & Voice Enterprise offers, Attendant & Voice Attendant] A new option allows a bubble owner or organizer to better control the access of a bubble shared via open link. New joiners are notified that they must wait for entrance in a waiting room (lobby).
- [Enterprise] The user can clear specific information in bubbles, on demand or using an automatic clean-up after each conference. Are concerned: messages and files, members (out of organizers), polls, recordings (only on demand).
- A persistent user's notification center is available (invitations in bubbles, channels, for contacts) The bell icon is permanently displayed either without count, or with the exact count of ongoing notifications.
- When a video file is shared in a conversation, a thumbnail is generated to display a preview.
- In grid view mode, during a mobile video conference, user can choose to expand participant's video to full screen to get focus on their input or presentation.
- The default filter parameters of the search for a bubble have been slightly modified to present at least "by participant" and "by name" results.
- In the 'Files' section, the 'Free up space' option provides more sorting options (ascending or descending order by type)
- A user can open a P2P conversation by clicking on a person's avatar in a bubble.
- Company name field can be added when a guest connects to a bubble and conference. It's then displayed below the user's name.
- The option 'Company' has been removed from the search bar, as well as the option 'Your administrators' from the section 'My Company' from My Profile.
- Files can be transferred between different datacenters. User is notified of the transfer by "The file is being transferred" before being able to upload it, otherwise notified of file transfer failure with the exact reason of the failure.
Hybrid & Cloud Telephony
- A caller being identified in any directory, is presented by this directory contact card details. In Hybrid Telephony, the details are stored in the call-log.
- Based on the “makecall” action principle, a new correlator can be added to launch supplementary actions from Rainbow.
- [Business, Enterprise] Users equipped with a Deskphone on OXE (phones using NOE protocol and being Main in multiset) can toggle the ringing state of their main Deskphone in Telephony settings or from admin page in the user tab telephony.
- In addition to the room number/name displayed to the room service or hotel staff on call from an OXE hotel guest, the hotel guest name is now displayed as well.
- Users being Rainbow supervisor of a Mutual aid group, are able to stop supervised calls notification on their mobile.
Innovation
- [all: chat and Rainbow calls, min Business for PBX VoIP calls, min Enterprise for starting a conference in a bubble] [iOS] Rainbow on Apple CarPlay is similar to the regular Rainbow app, with added features specifically designed for use in a car. User interface is easy to control, and Siri is used to send/receive text messages hands-free, and make/receive VoIP calls. Only enabled notifications are delivered on screen. Siri function is available.
Polls
- [All Enterprise/All Attendant]Several enhancements have been provided to significantly improve the user experience:
- Users can modify their vote
- Organizer [Enterprise offers] can view the poll results without voting
- Percentage and number of votes are displayed together.
Support
- Rainbow app supports now iOS 18. Consequently, Rainbow supports only the versions 16, 17, 18 from now.

Main fixes
Interface blocked
There was no button to continue after the avatar selection step.
OS specific, this regression has been fixed.
Notifications
Some not identified push messages could have been sent to iOS in supervision group.
Wrong information in an event led to this behavior.
Missed calls
Group call answered by another member of the group was notified as 'missed call' in the native iOS dialer of the user.
The information of the answered call is provided to the mobile.
Call queue
An incoming call to a welcome with call queue could redirect a user to voice prompt 'user is not available' after a deflect.
Deflect service is not longer proposed where it's not authorized.
Incoming call
Some customers complained that randomly, they couldn't receive incoming calls.
Improvements have been made for the case where notifications are not authorized.
Name display
Phone number and contact name from OXE & speed dials didn't match between mobiles and Desktop.
For users with an Essential license, only number information is now displayed in iOS for these users.
Ringing state
iOS could keep ringing after accepting a call in another Rainbow client.
The mechanism informing the iOS that the user was already in conference has been changed.
Quality
Screen sharing and video may not achieve the expected level of quality.
Several enhancements have improved the quality of these functions.
