This article allows company administrators to modify the visibility of companies and members in Rainbow.
Company Visibility
Visibility is defined at two levels:
- Company level, applying to all the members for which specific visibility is not defined: see below.
- Company member level: see: Configure company members.
Modify the visibility has an impact on display and search in Rainbow, as well as the invitations sent by members to join their network: a member of a company can only invite a member of another company if that member is visible to him/her in Rainbow. Otherwise, the invitation is possible, but it must be done by email.
Visibility options are:

Public: the company is visible in Rainbow to all users, except the members of Closed and Isolated companies.
The members of a Public company can:
- Invite people to join their network (via Rainbow or by email).
- Be invited to join a network (via Rainbow or by email). -
Private: the company is only visible in Rainbow to company members.
The members of a Private company can:
- Invite people to join their network (via Rainbow or by email).
- Be invited to join a network ONLY BY email. -
Closed: the company is only visible in Rainbow to company members.
The members of a Closed company can:
- Invite people to join their network ONLY BY email.
- Be invited to join a network ONLY BY email. -
Isolated: the company is only visible in Rainbow to company members.
The members of an Isolated company CANNOT:
- Invite people to join their network.
- Be invited to join a network.
Change Visibility at Company Level
- Open your administration Dashboard by clicking on the "
Manage your Company" space in the left menu.
- In the "MY COMPANY" panel, click on the
name of your company.
- In the left panel, select the "
Settings" menu.
- Select the "Privacy" tab in the right panel.
- In the "COMPANY VISIBILITY" panel, select the company visibility: Public, Private, Closed or Isolated.
- Click on the icon
which appears, after any change, at the top right of the page.
