🎉 If you're reading this, you're on the new Help Center... And we're delighted to see you here. This article will give you a better understanding of the new site and the migration process underway.
Why a new Help Center?
🎯 The objectives are simple: to better organize information and make it as easy as possible for you to access it.
- To achieve this, we completely revising the documentation and making the necessary updates.
- The organization of information was our second point of action. The new Help Center is now divided into several categories, allowing documentation to be compartmentalized by product or domain (Rainbow, Connectors, Security and Data Privacy etc.). When performing a search, you can directly filter the results to focus only on the categories that interest you.
- To take things a step further, we've implemented cross-functional search systems such as related to, which lets you search by subject (e.g. Polls, Call forwarding ...), or the new 🤖 RainBot, which searches for information directly in articles. It's still in its learning phase, so please bear with it. 🙏
The base for inApp synchronization.
Last but not least, it's not directly visible in the Help Center. This is the keystone of our innovations in terms of information distribution: Synchronization with Rainbow applications.
In fact, much of the information in the Help Center can be accessed directly from our applications.
That's right. Training courses, What's new and soon Service notifications. All the information you find in Rainbow comes directly from the Help Center. The added value? Information available at the click of a button and, above all, profiled... While the Help Center offers information for all profiles and licenses, Rainbow's information is filtered to match your use cases.
Tips: If a feature isn't authorized in your Rainbow company (e.g. file sharing), the training courses won't mention it, and the what's new won't show you the latest developments on the subject. It's exactly the same with licenses or the type of telephony equipment you use (e.g. Cloud telephony or Hybrid telephony).
How is the migration going?
Smoothly. The (blue) support.openrainbow.com/hc site will gradually give way to the new (purple) help.openrainbow.com/hc site. Information banners have been added to the blue site to invite you to visit the new site and give you time to modify your shortcuts, etc.
Note: 👋 In a few weeks' time, these banners will be replaced by redirects, before the blue site goes offline early next year. The table below (regularly updated) gives you an overview of the migration status of the main types of information currently available on the blue site.
